The children had a great afternoon of tree planting in the Manse Woods. They planted 32 trees in total of different varieties. The trees were all grown from local seeds which were sown and grown in the tree nursery.

All the children worked really hard! Violet planted 10 tree’s by herself. Agnes and Freya gave all the trees names while Tadhgan helped Arlo with the digging. Tadhgan discovered that the area where the trees were planted was very “rooty”. Arlo explored a hole under a root.

Tasha told the group at the end of the session that the class were the first people to plant out trees in the Manse Woods using trees from the Tree Nursery.
