Norah, the ranger, came into school to talk to us about the big garden birdwatch which is happening on the 16th February. She first of all showed us a couple of bird books and spoke about birds that you can find on Eigg and what they eat. She brought three bird feeders to the school and we filled them up with seeds and nuts and we put them on a branch on a tree at the bottom of the school garden. You’ll never guess but the biggest bird feeder was almost empty when we came out for break maybe an hour later! We spotted chaffinches and robins eating away. They must of been hungry!!
We watched the birds for a bit and they seem to be enjoying their new food supply! We had so much fun.
