The nursery children had a great time learning about how to make a fire and fire safety. They started with collecting sticks of different sizes and tearing up bits of paper to get the fire going. They created a safety circle that could only be entered one at a time. Katrin used cotton wool, Vaseline and a flint to get the fire going and they then took turns carefully adding sticks to the fire. Once the fire was underway they added the flask of water to the fire and could hear the water boiling. They all then enjoyed some warm hot chocolate and melting marshmallows at the end!
