Fox in Socks and Wacky Wednesday by Dr. Seuss

I have two really good books that I like to read at home and at school. They are very funny and really fun to read.

Fox in Socks

There is one called Fox in Socks by Dr Seuss. The Fox’s name is Fox in Socks, and there is also a guy called Knox. It names all the things that rhyme on the page. There are really fun things in here, kind of like Wacky Wednesday, but its more fun and there are different things.

My favourite thing in it is when they have to eat the slimy sea. It’s kind of weird, but it’s edible. My favourite characters are the pigs doing a band. They are using different materials to make the sound. There is a guy smashing a pot on his head. They also use things that have been created in the real world, like weird big bells on their heads, and hammers smashing into each other. It would make a good ceilidh.

At the end, I was surprised, because a really weird thing happens, but no spoiler alert! I can tell you one thing, it has a bottle in it!

I think you should read the book to find out what is happening.

There are lots of other books by Dr. Seuss, and you should read them!

Wacky Wednesday

The other one is called Wacky Wednesday. In the book, everything is weird, everything looks weird, the time is wrong, and the hose is still going but it isn’t connected. Everything is really wacky because of these people who walk on the street who have no legs and no feet.

It’s really fun to spot all the wackyness that people miss. Sometimes you can show people where some of the missing wackyness is. You can spot the odd things like a little shoe on a cloud.

My favourite part of the book is when the child is in the bathroom and he is having a shower, and there is a wee palm tree growing out of the toilet.

I think you should read this book, it’s just the best book!

A Natural History of Dragons

The book I am reading is about dragons. It teaches you how to care for, how to ride, how to approach, and how to keep one as a pet.

To ride a dragon, you need saddles. Basically, you need what you need for a horse, but you also need to learn how to control a dragon’s movement. To control the movement, you use the rope to do the directions. Because if you go on the dragon, it just goes off on it’s own and you can’t do anything about it. So you use the ropes to steer the dragon.

A dragon needs food and water, it also needs to be taught how to fly and how to breathe fire. A dragon eats meat and plants. There are different types of dragons. What they eat depends on what kind of dragon you have. There is one that for some reason is called a Mo’o, and it eats mostly just roots and weeds from the river bed. It sometimes eats humans as well.

A dragon just learns to breathe fire on it’s own. A dragon can sleep anywhere, it depends if it’s in the wild or not. if its not, it would sleep on a dog bed or in your bed. If it’s in the wild, it would sleep wherever it came from. It depends on the dragon as well.

I like the dragon that lives at sea. It’s kind of a pale blue and green colour. It lays it’s eggs on cliff edges. I like the colours, what it looks like and that it really likes the sea.

You also have to learn a dragon’s language, it’s called Dragonese.

If I had a dragon, I would ride it and go anywhere in the world. First, I would go to Italy. I would go swimming with my dragon. I would call it Emerald and I would let it sleep in my bed until it’s too big.

I heard that most dragons are shape shifters, and they often choose to turn into a black bird. So if you see a black bird in your garden, it might actually be a dragon.

I think someone on Eigg would like this book because it is fascinating and it tells you everything you need to know.
