Jenna froze little mini dinosaur figures in ice. We hunted for the fossils. We were scientists who were trying to dig up the dinosaurs and animals that existed when dinosaurs were alive.
We had to get all the dinosaurs out of the ice. We smashed the ice and we go toothbrushes to get them out of the ice. We broke some of the toothbrushes accidentally.
And when we got a dinosaur or something that existed when a dinosaur was there, we got it out and looked at the pattern on it and the fossil it made.
We learned a lot about dinosaur fossils. Dinosaur bones were found in stone because mud, sand and dirt turned to stone. The bones in the stone are called fossils.
Jenna put out a tray and there were little dinosaur fossils in the tray made out of ice. And we looked at them with the magnifying glasses. They were cool dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs lived a thousand million years ago. Palaeontologists have brushes to clean the fossils and then they put them in museums.
We loved it!
