Eigg Primary Reading Challenge

written by our P4 learner

This year reading is a big thing at Eigg Primary School.

I have been bringing in lots and lots of Beano comics every day to share with the class. Violet didn’t know Beano until I brought them in and gave here a few issues, and she is now quite enjoying them. I also gave Arlo an issue and we talk about the comics quite a lot.

Beano Comics is Britain’s most common comic. It’s a comic with lots of different stories in it, like Dennis and Gnasher, Minnie the Minx, Bananaman, Billy Whizz and lots more.

I am really into comics at the moment. I have a lot of Beano comics to read, about thirty or forty issues.

There is one called No More School, Well for Summer at Least. On the front cover there are Beano characters dancing about to music and playing around whilst the teacher is not looking happy. Beano school is not as good as here basically, so the kids don’t like it.

I write my  own comics quite a lot, even Beano comics. I am at the moment working on a comic called Turn-Around Town. It has Bananaman in it. I have made 34 issues.

Here is one of the comics that I made:
