We went on a speed boat. Then we went on a real boat.
We were looking for whales but we didn’t see any, we just saw pretend ones. The people on the boat were pretending to be one. They went on the speed boat and had a shark pretend thing and they held it up when lying down.
We saw a real seal.

It was so fun checking out the whole ship and seeing where everything went. There was a cool bit where there was a secret food stash under a chair. There was lots of cereal and some potatoes.
We explored the boat and learned how to work the toilet. You had to pull it back and forward 25 times for it to flush. We also learned that Silurian was on a David Attenborough documentary called the Blue Planet.
The researchers on the boat try to find Whales and Dolphins by getting some binoculars and looking out. If they find one they say “sighting” and somebody records their data about their sighting. They are doing that to help the whales and dolphins because they are endangered.
They also showed us a replica of a dolphin skull. It was really cool. We also saw a map of their travels. They have been all around Scotland. We got to see which bed we would choose if we lived on the ship. If I lived on the ship it would be really hard not to get sea sick. They showed us all around the ship and all the places and what they were called. There are 10 people living on the ship.
At the end we got to go on a tiny little speed boat and went back to the pier. I had a great time!
