Gaelic Cafe – thanks to many members of the community for joining our Gaelic activities. We also enjoyed delicious soups cooked by Mr MacInnes, bread baked by Colm and Violet and scrumptious treats brought along by friends 🙂 The children prepared a song and some games for everyone to join in with.
Violet and Jess
We spoke some Gaelic and we played some Gaelic games.
And Mr MacInnes said how to say cheese in Gaelic. It is càise.
We learnt to say some Gaelic words:
Start = tòiseachadh
finish = crioch
soup = brot
water = uisge
butter = ìm
bread = aran
coffee = cofaidh
tea = tì
We played card games and board games. There were some Gaelic words in some of them.
One of them was like a matching card game. You put all the cards out facing down. If they match you get another go.
We participated in a Gaelic T-Shirt contest. Thousands of schools are joining. And only 2 will be picked. And the 2 T-Shirts will be made and people can buy them. You got a T-shirt template, design it and write some Gaelic words on it.

Jess: I love plants.

Violet: As beautiful as the sunset
