Monday meals

This week our P7 girls did an amazing job helping out at the weekly community meals. Well done!

On Monday we went to the hall for the community meal, which is an event for all the islanders. Anyone can come and enjoy food which someone has made. People take turns to make the food and it is free, but donations are welcome.

This Monday we had tagine which is a stew from Morocco. It was so good! And this week it was cooked by Eilidh and Brendan. There were at least 40 people at the event. We were the waitresses. We had a little note pad and pen. And we would go round the tables and ask the people what they would like. Then Eilidh and Brendan would serve it and we took the food to the tables. And then we had some. We also made people teas and coffees.

It was so fun. Especially eating the yummy food. It was fun being a waitress. We enjoyed it very much.

We can’t wait for next time to do it again. Then the P5 children will come and will help being waiters and waitresses. We are going to show them what to do.
