Lights, Camel, Action – The Sequin!

written by Agnes and Freya – P7

This is the annual Eigg Christmas play. We do this every year.

And this sadly is our last performance. We really can’t wait to see everyone else next year and how good they are doing without us.

This year’s show was about the nativity in Strictly Come Dancing style, like last year but a little bit different.

We were the hostesses with the mostesses. We had to introduce all the people like Joseph and Mary, all the stars, the judges, angels, shepherds, camels and the wise ones.

Ross was so funny this year, he made everyone laugh.

There was a dance called Bethlehem Latitude, that was our favourite.

The Shepherd’s Conga was also good. That was kind of tricky because the young ones were behind us and we had to bend backwards so that they could reach our shoulders.

It was lovely having Edith and Sonny. They were the wee stars and they were really the stars of the show! It was Sonny’s first Christmas show ever and we were in it!

Almost the whole population of Eigg came to see us, about 100 people were there.

After the show we ate biscuits that everyone made. There was also mulled wine for the adults. We love the smell of mulled wine.

We are tired now from all the rehearsing. We were really focused on it and we are relieved it is over now, but it was a lot of fun.
