Eigg Primary took part in a Scotlandwide Christmas Card design competition by Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. Many designs were handed in and there were 6 winners. One of them was our very own Freya (P6). Well done!!!

Freya (P 6)

I drew a Christmas tree in a pot in a house with lots of presents. Because the theme was Family, Friendship and Fun I had a family of gingerbread. They were opening presents together. I also drew a Christmas cat in the corner because I found it funny.

After we drew the picture we coloured it in. Then Mr MacInnes sent it to Sabhal Mòr Ostaig. The people in the competition said that it looks really good and that I was going to get really far, possibly even win. Then we were waiting. I took quite a long time. I totally forgot all about it. We were playing outside and Mr MacInnes came to me and started talking about the competition . I wondered what competition it was as I had forgotten about it. And then Mr MacInnes said that I won it. I was so happy.

I won a £10 Amazon voucher and a goodie bag. I don’t know what is in the goodie bag as it hasn’t arrived yet. It will be a great surprise. I can spend the voucher on anything I like. I don’t know yet what I will spend it on.

I didn’t think I was going to win at all. I think I could have done a lot better. It was a real surprise when I had won it.
