Exploring Wildlife in the field with Norah and Erika!

Norah, Erika and the volunteers came to school and we looked at pictures of what we might see in the field. When then left school and walked across to the field. We first of all wrote down all the wildlife we spotted. We found lots of wildflowers for example bog cotton, milk warts, tormentil and flag iris. We then walked down to the stream and we collected nets, spoons and trays to catch little wildlife in the stream. We caught snails, small little beasties and butterflies and we put them back again after we had looked at them. We then went up to the rocks with a big magnifying glass to look for plants. And we found honeysuckle, moss, spiders and woodlice.

We lost one of the magnifying glasses and we couldn’t find it anywhere and hopefully we’ll find it again on our next wildlife adventure!
